BERMUDA is a chain of approx 180 coral islands and islets, lying in the Atlantic Ocean 1,046km (650 miles) off the coast of North Carolina.
The largest mainland is made up of 10 islands, linked by bridges and causeways, and houses the country's capital city, Hamilton, with Somerset on the Western end, and St George (Bermuda's first capital) at the far Eastern end.

Sport abounds in Bermuda, which caters for all tastes, whether its golf, tennis, cricket, or water sports, including sailing, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming.

Bermuda's most famous beaches lie along the island's Southern coasts, which enjoy an equatorial climate.
The temperature in the North is more extreme.
