BRUNEI is found in southwest Asia. It is a small coastal state situated in the Northwest corner of Borneo, and is split into two parts by Malaysia.

The landscape is mainly equatorial jungle, and most of the settlements are situated at estuaries, including the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Accommodation outside the main towns is not readily available.

A hot, tropical climate, with a monsoon season in November and December.
