DENMARK is situated in Western Europe, and is made up of the Jutland Peninsular (which is North of Germany), and over 400 islands, some of which are linked to the mainland by bridge or ferry. It is a low-lying country with lakes and fjords, picturesque towns and villages, and historical castles. The country abounds with sandy beaches, coves, cliffs, and forests.

The capital, Copenhagen, is situated on Sjaelland (Zealand), and has many old buildings, fountains, squares, and statues, (including the famous ‘Little mermaid’ at the Harbour entrance.
