FIJI
lies in the South Pacific, 3000km(1875miles) to the East of Australia, and is comprised of over 300 islands, some just tiny islets or coral atolls.
The two largest islands are Viti Levu (where the capital Suva is situated), and Vanua Levu, which are both extinct volcanoes.
Water sports are very popular, including scuba diving and snorkelling, in the lagoons.
Cruises around the islands are available.
The climate is tropical, with the rainy season from December to April. |
