GUINEA is situated in West Africa. The landscape varies from mountains and plains, to forest and Savannah, and the 3 great rivers of West Africa, the Gambia, the Senegal, and the Niger, all originate from here.

The capital, Conakry, lies on Tumbo Isalnd, just off the coast, and is connected to the mainland by a pier. The city has a cathedral, a national museum, and the Kakimbon caves at Ratoma village.

The climate is hot and humid, with the rainy season from May to October.
