MACAU is a tiny peninsular, situated on the South China Coast, at the mouth of the Pearl River, and is linked to mainland China by a narrow isthmus. It also includes the islands of Taipa and Coloane which are linked to the peninsular by two bridges and a causeway.

Macau itself houses many attractions, including the Church of St. Paul’s, the Jesuit citadel of Sao Paulo do Monte, the complex of Temples known as Kun Lam Tong (which dates from the time of the Ming Dynasty) the Macau Museum, the Sao Domingo’s church, and the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Home.

The islands of Taipa and Coloane boast numerous beach resorts, pine-forested hills, and good restaurants. A lot of old Macau is preserved on the islands, including Chinese Temples and fishing communities.

A sub-tropical climate with very hot and rainy summers. Winds can reach gale force. The best season is the Autumn (October to December)
